Corridor
Brazil, Latin America and Europe
We serve in Portuguese and Spanish — which almost nobody here does. And the corridor has a legal basis: it is not sales talk, these are treaties in force.
Brazil
Two treaties in force, and almost nobody uses them
-
Double taxation
In force since 2021, promulgated by Decree 10,705. It defines objectively who is a tax resident of which country — and that is the article the Brazilian tax authority uses to undo an artificial arrangement. What we build is the documentary substrate that holds your residence up.
-
Investment facilitation
In force since September 2023, with an Investment Ombudsman — a formal government channel to prevent a dispute before it exists.
-
Entry without a prior visa
Brazilians enter for short business trips without a prior visa. The value of our work is not the entry — it is converting that entry into a company and residence without you having to leave and come back.
What the treaty does not do. It does not waive a local licence, does not guarantee a bank account and does not eliminate tax in the country of origin. A double taxation treaty avoids being charged twice; it does not create an exemption. And the treaty's 5% reduction on dividends applies to state entities, not to a private business owner — anyone promising you that is selling it wrong.
Latin America
Where an agreement is in force, and where it is not yet
| Country | Economic agreement with the UAE |
|---|---|
| Costa Rica | In force since April 2025 — covers professional services and digital trade |
| Chile | In force since November 2025 — 21 chapters |
| Colombia | Signed in 2024, not yet in force — awaiting Congress and the Constitutional Court |
| Mercosur (includes Brazil) | Under negotiation. Nothing signed so far |
| European Union | Under negotiation since May 2025. Nothing signed |
Signed is not the same as in force, and an economic agreement is not the same as a double taxation treaty: Chile and Colombia have the first and not the second; Brazil has the second and not the first. They are separate tracks, and confusing them is the easiest mistake for the other side's lawyer to disprove.
Documents
There is no apostille for the UAE
The United Arab Emirates are not party to the Hague Apostille Convention — verifiable in the Hague Conference's official status table, and confirmed by the Emirati ministry's own attestation page. Anyone promising you an apostille timeline is promising a service that does not exist.
- Notary in the country of originSignature certification or issuance of the original.
- National authority authenticationIn Brazil, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- UAE consulateConsular legalisation — the step an apostille would replace, and does not.
- UAE Ministry of Foreign AffairsAttestation, already inside the country.A laminated document is refused. The original travels by courier.
- Certified translationOnly by a translator registered with the UAE Ministry of Justice.
Compliance
A low burden with a clean trail — not secrecy
The UAE have applied automatic exchange of tax information since the 2017 multilateral agreement. An account opened here by a Brazilian tax resident is reported. Anyone selling privacy is selling the client risk; we work with a declared structure and documentation that stands up in an audit.
